Design of an Autonomous Inkjet Plotter-Head

Velocity often appears as a parameter in control systems. For this task, anautonomous inkjet printer head had to be designed. The strategy was to measure the velocity of the inkjet. Once the velocity is known, a signal can be derived to drive the inkjet. In chapter 2, an overview is given of various methods used for determining velocity. In chapter 3, a selection of some of the methods from chapter 2 are investigated on their usefullness according to the problem. Chapter 4 describes the implementation of the systems found to be suitable along with the measurement results. The report ends with conclusions.
