Report deals with drilling and wedging tests and their results for thedimensional stone quarrying technology project. The tests include drilling with hydraulic and pneumatic hammers and wedging with hydraulic wedging devices. The tests were carried out with various types of bits and by varying the drilling parameters. The parameters for this study were flushing medium (air, water), bit condition, bit indexing (bit RPM's), percussion pressure and feed pressure. For evaluating the results of the drilling tests, attention was paid to net penetration rates and the width of the cracked zone caused by the drilling, since net penetration rate in percussion drilling is proportional to rock drill percussive power output.
