Signal Waveform Generator Performance Specification and CertificatioinRequirements

This report provides important information of users of the NHTSA signal waveformgenerator (SWG) and for those organizations that would perform testing to certify the accuracy of SWG signals. The performance specifications for the SWG are based on the results of testing of all of the ten signal waveform generators fabricated for NHTSA. The SWG certification requirement specify the measurements, measurement equipment, measurement procedures, and the measured SWG performance required to certify that a SWG is acceptable for use in testing a crash or sled test data acquisition systems.
