Finite Element Analysis of Plastic Bending of Cold-Formed Rectangular Hollow211 Section Beams

The report describes the finite element analysis of rectangular hollow section211u001e(RHS) beams, to simulate a series of bending tests. The finite element program 211u001eABAQUS was used for the analysis. The main aims of the analysis were to determine 211u001etrends, to understand the occurrence of inelastic instability, and to attempt to 211u001epredict the rotation capacity of cold-formed RHS beams.
