Reducing the Use of Hazardous Substances in Personal Computers. Drivers and Barriers for Attaining a Less Toxic Environment.

摘要

The aim of this report is to discuss how different drivers and barriers can influence the companies and other parties to consider environmental aspects in development or use of electronic products. Focus is put especially on chemical use in personal computers. Hopefully this report can serve as a useful basis for discussions on how to reduce the risks for health and the environment from the use of chemicals in products, especially electronic equipment. This report has been produced in co-operation between the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University and the Swedish National Chemicals Inspectorate (KemI).
