Class V Underground Injection Control Study. Volume 18: Geothermal Direct Heat211 Return Flow Wells

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) conducted a study of Class V211u001eunderground injection wells to develop background information the Agency can use 211u001eto evaluate the risk that these wells pose to underground sources of drinking 211u001ewater (USDWs) and to determine whether additional federal regulation is 211u001ewarranted. The final report for this study, which is called the Class V 211u001eUnderground Injection Control (UIC) Study, consists of 23 volumes and five 211u001esupporting appendices. Volume 1 provides an overview of the study methods, the 211u001eUSEPA UIC Program, and general findings. Volumes 2 through 23 present information 211u001esummaries for each of the 23 categories of wells that were studied (Volume 21 211u001ecovers 2 well categories). This volume, which is Volume 18, covers Class V 211u001egeothermal direct heat return flow wells.
