Water-resources data for the 1998 water year for New Mexico consist of records of211u001edischarge and water quality of streams; stage, contents, and water quality of 211u001elakes and reservoirs; and water levels and water quality in wells and springs. 211u001eThis report contains discharge records for 158 gaging stations; stage and 211u001econtents for 26 lakes and reservoirs; water quality for 34 gaging stations, 23 211u001ewells, and 41 partial-record stations and miscellaneous sites; and water levels 211u001eat 122 observation wells. Also included are 36 crest-stage, partial-record 211u001estations. Additional water data were collected at various sites not involved in 211u001ethe systematic data-collection program, and are published as miscellaneous 211u001emeasurements. These data represent that part of the National Water Data System 211u001ecollected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating Federal, State, and local 211u001eagencies in New Mexico.
