This publication contains research, extension-education, industry and actionagency reports of progress contributing to our knowledge of the whitefuly complex and to the development of ecologically acceptable whitefly management systems. The multi-agency cooperative effort has, since 1992, provided a formum for information exchange, complementary, coordinated and cooperative research programs, avoidance of duplication of effort, and optimum return for expended research dollars. The result of the joint partnerships has been solutions and technology transfer to the stakeholders in the agricultural communities. These accomplishments have been achieved within a compressed timeframe, in large part, due to openness of communications, sharing of expertise and focus on common goals.
