摘要

In recent years there has been a growing recognition about the need to enhancegraduates' 'employability' in order to enable them to operate in an increasingly diverse and competitive labor market. The 'employability' debate has centered on the adequacy of the skills graduates develop during their course. There is growing consensus that it is no longer sufficient for graduates to possess traditional academic and subject specific skills. Nowadays graduates need to develop a range of interpersonal and transferable skills to be able to adapt to changing market circumstances and organizational needs. It was to explore graduates' views on these crucial issues that The London Institute commissioned this study from the Institute for Employment Studies (IES).
