Final Environmental Impact Statement Addressing the Hardwood Range Expansion andAssociated Airspace Actions. Volume I-Analyses

This document provides an evaluation of the environmental consequences associatedwith the proposed action to expand the Hardwood Air-to-Surface Gunnery Range and Associated Airspace Actions. If implemented, this action would increase the land area of the Hardwood Range; add a new area for potential target locations, a drop zone, and a landing zone; modify its associated restricted airspace (R-6904); and reassess the annual sortie utilizations of three Military Operations Areas (MOAs). Evaluation factors address range expansion and airspace utilization issues. Alternatives addressed include the Proposed Action and the No-Action Alternative.
