Status of Rural Public Transportation: 2000

Some striking changes have taken place over the past six years in the ruraltransit agencies that receive Section 5311 federal funds. The following pages present and analyze the data collected in this survey to determine the Status of Rural Public Transportation-2000. The survey includes data on the kinds of services being delivered, sources of revenue, the composition and age of the fleet, maintenance operations, patterns of ridership and workforce profiles.
