Brooklyn Treatment Court: Five Year Report, June 1996 - December 2001

Opened in June 1996 as a pilot demonstration project, Brooklyn Treatment Court provides jucicially supervised substance abuse treatment, drug testing and supportive services to drug abusing defendandt with no history of violence. The Court focuses on rehabilitation of addicts who commit felony drug sales or other drug-motivated crimes and has given special attention to the distinctive needs of female offenders. This is a five year report of the Brooklyn Treatment Court.
