The purpose of this document is to respond to community health concerns and public comments regarding the draft health consultation for the site (ATSDR 2007). MDEQ requested assistance from the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) in assessing the risk to people living in an area impacted, historically and currently, by airborne manganese deposition to soil. Questions received during the public meeting held for this site, and MDCHs responses, are in the Community Health Concerns section of this document. Comments received on the draft health consultation, and MDCHs responses, are in Appendix C.
