摘要

This is the second year the whole world celebrates the day to promote awareness on rare diseases. It is a fundamental step to promote the right to health of millions of people with a rare disease, to acknowledge the news coming from scientific research and to shed a light on a universe that is often shadowed. There have been several happenings of a different kind worldwide set up by different organizations that are active in Italy: the artistic and literary award at the Istituto Superiore di Sanita (ISS, Italian National Institute of Health); the seminars for medical doctors at the 'Associazione Dossetti;' the symbolic wall of the 'Consulta Malattie Rare' (Committee for Rare Diseases); and the happening at the 'Teatro Argentina' with the involvement of celebrities coming from the world of culture, entertainment and sport.
