This document, Evidence-Based Policy, Practice, and Decisionmaking: Implications for Paroling Authorities, is the second of the series.The paper examines information emerging from research on evidence-based practice and decisionmaking in parole and the implications of these findings for paroling authorities. It is NIcs hope that the information contained in this document will guide parole authorities in the implementation of sound, research-based policies that will result in more efficient use of public resources and, ultimately, reduce future crime.
