Minutes of the Streptomycin Conference (6th) Held at the Auditorium of the Ramsey County Medical Society, St. Paul, Minnesota on October 21-24, 1948

This publication presents a summary of the proceedings of the Sixth Streptomycin Conference, a semi-annual meeting of a large group of Veterans Administration, armed services, and other researchers engaged in a cooperative investigation of the effects of streptomycin on human tuberculosis. Compilations are presented of data collected through the use of pre-conference questionnaires on the various treatment regimes, together with prepared papers on tuberculous disease categories from the program's study units. Pulmonary, tracheo-bronchial, laryngeal, genito-urinary, miliary-meningeal, and orthopedic tuberculosis are discussed, as well as tuberculous sinuses and fistulae, surgical prophylaxis, toxicity, sensitivity-resistance, and interrupted and combined regimens. An index of published papers by study participants is included.
