This paper gives a theoretical and experimental analysis of the basic electrical mechanically resonant projector whose equivalent circuit is given by Figure 1. A simple pre- polarized barium titanate element is represented by this circuit where the capacitance which is in series with the inductance and resistance represents the combination of the mechanical and the “electrical” compliance. The energy is supplied by a condenser charged from a D.C. power supply. This coupled to the transducer (Figure 2).
