A COMPARISON OF PRINCIPLES TRAINING AND SPECIFIC TRALNING USLNG SEVERAL TYPES OF TRALNING DEVICES

This study is an attempt to define and demonstrate a generalizable learning technique which has long been in the psychological literature, i.e., the teaching of principles, and to test its efficiency relative to a widely used and highly effective technique for teaching specific tasks. The comparisons have been made using several types of training devices: (1) the actual equipment, (2) a three-dimensional modification of the equipment, and (3) a two-dimensional diagram.
