Third Quarterly Progress Report on Services, Facilities and Materials to Conduct Research and Investigation Into The Origin of Activity Dips in the Response of AT Cut Low Frequency Resonators April 15, 1955 to October 15, 1955

The continued investigation into the origin of activity dips in the response of at cut low frequency crystals has resulted in the accumulation of a tremendous amount of data. Practically all of this work was carried on at a frequency of approximately 1 Mc. In our second report on this project, data was presented in which both the X and Z' dimensions were varied independently. Because this method resulted in twice the number of variables, it was decided to continue the investigation on square blanks of varying sizes and constant thickness, still around a frequency of 1 Mc.
