Anaphylactic Shock in the Mouse Passively sensitized with Homologous Antiserum

A report is made: on the successtul production of fatal anaphylaxis in CFW mice sensitized passively with homologous serun. The anti-bovine albumin mouse serum employed in trans¬ferring passive sensitivity to mice was secured from animals sensitized with bovine albumin-adjuvant emulsion containing killed Mycobac¬terium butyricum. The anti-bovine albumin mouse serum was found to contain precipitins for both bovine albumin and bovine gamma globulin.
