A Reformation of the Temperature Dependence of the Debye Characteristic Temperature and Its Effect on Debyewaller Theory

Zener and Bilinsky have explained the observed high-tempera curt deviations from the Debye-waller theory of the temperature dependence of the intensity of x-ray diffraction spectra in terms of the changes in Θ, the Debye characteristic temperature, as the temperature is raised. Their formulation for the temperature dependence of Θ is in terms of an empirical constant and the lattice enthalpy.
