An extensive table is presented of initial fragment veloc¬ities as a function of charge-to-metal (c/m) mass ratio and explosive energy (α), calculated using Gurney Solid Cylinder, Gurney Sphere, Sterne Flat Plate, and Sterne Symmetrical Flat Sandwich formulas.nValues of initial velocities are given for c/m ratios in increments of 0. 0Z from 0.02 to 3.00 and α in increments of 200 fps from 6, 000 to 10, 000 fps for warhead design application.
