The Cooperative Sharing of Audiovisual Materials in Medical Schools

The following publication documents the successes and failures of a comprehensive effort by the Steering Committee for Cooperative Teaching, Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics in (1) developing a cooperative teaching network among the Gynecology-Obstetrics Departments in United States and Canadian medical colleges, and (2) implementing educational techniques to improve instruction. This project was built on the premise that for a viable cooperative teaching network to succeed, the first need is the development of a diffusion network by which current ideas, materials, and information on audiovisual material could be shared.
