The Coder: A Program Module for Code Generation in High-Level Language Compilers.

摘要

A program module,the coder,is proposed to reduce the work involved in constructing a code generator for a high-level language compiler. It has been designed to relieve the compiler writer of many tedious details while still permitting him to control the code being emitted. To provide the necessary background,the compilation process is reviewed. This then permits the features and facilities of the coder to be determined. Finally,some aspects of the coder proposed for the IBM/360are discussed.
