摘要

The report,by a group of qualified scientists designated the Select Committee on GRAS Substances (SCOGS),provides an independent evaluation of the safety of carrageenan,when used in food at present or projected levels of use. Background information on carrageenan,consumer exposure data,and biological studies are presented.
