Microbial Mutagenesis Testing of Substances; Compound Report: F76-067, Ammoniated Glycyrrhizin

SRI International examined an FDA compound identified as F76-067. This compound was tested in the Ames Salmonella/microsome assay for induction of reverse mutation in Salmonella typhimurium strains and in Escherichia coli WP2 (uvrA). Each assay was performed in the presence and in the absence of a rat liver homogenate metabolic activation system. Compound F76-067 did not appear to be mutagenic in any of the assays performed.
