Intersectoral Factor Mobility and Agricultural Growth

An econometric approach is applied to a study of Japanese agriculture that takes account of the interdependence of agriculture and the rest of the economy. Mundlak's work is based on the assumption that factor returns are not equal across sectors, which leads to a flow of factors from one sector to another. This is the basis of resource allocation.
