Taxonomy and Effects of Dwarf Mistletoe on Bristlecone Pine on the San Francisco Peaks, Arizona

The dwarf mistletoe parasitizing bristlecone pine on the San Francisco Peaks, Arizona, is shown to be Arceuthobium microcarpum. The dwarf mistletoe causes serious localized damage, but it is not considered to be a serious threat to the bristlecone pine population.
