The papers presented at the 34th Annual Session covered under Vol. III deal with Thermodynamics, Simulation control and Optimization Environmental engineering and Mechanical operations and Energy conservation and alternated technologies. Among topics covered under Thermodynamics are thermodynamic properties of p-xylene 1,2 dichloroethane, Liquid-liquid equilibrium studies, vapor-liquid equilibrium data for trimethyl chlorosilane-Dimethyl dichloro system. Areas covered under Simulation control and optimization are improved process control strategy for liquid phase kraft pulping of bamboo, simulation of AA+B'B' type reversible polymerizations with mass transfer of condensation product, optimal control of distributed reactor systems, analysis and simulation of ammonia-synthesis reactor - adiabatic operation with coldshot cooling. Studies on collection efficiency of a rotating disc wet collector for fine particulates, studies on characteristics and treatment of waste water from a textile mill, Design criteria of venturi scrubbers are included under Energy conservation and alternate technologies.
