This volume describes the types of fishing gear currently used and assesses the probable impact that oil and gas structures will have on their operation. Such structures include both surface and subsurface structures such as platforms, drilling rigs, subsea completions, pipelines, etc. The geographical scope includes the following regions: North Atlantic, Mid-Atlantic, South Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, Southern California and Northern/Central California. The basic approach to the fishing gear descriptions was a literature review supplemented by numerous personal contacts.
