Types de Maladies Animales dans la Region du Projet Gestion des Paturages et Elevage de la Zone Pastorals du Niger (Types of Animal Illnesses in the Area of the Niger Range and Livestock Project)

In the region of the Niger Range and Livestock Project, livestock diseases are affected by seasonal changes. A study of these diseases, herein reported, was conducted in two phases; the first during the dry season, under difficult conditions of insufficient food and water, high temperatures, and long forced marches in search of pasturage and water; the second phase during the rainy season under more favorable conditions. Some 24 diseases as well as infestations of internal and external parasites are described.
