Study Among the Fourteen Southern States to Test Uniform Outcome Assessment Measures

This project looked at: (1) the feasibility of another State (Tennessee) replicating a client outcome data system similar to that developed by the State of Oregon; (2) the compatibility and comparability of client outcome measures within and across States (Southern); (3) the feasibility of linking outcome data to cost data to measure the cost-outcome and cost-effectiveness of mental health programs; and (4) the readiness of Southern States to implement cost and/or client outcome assessment systems. The project also looked at the usefulness of the Oregon/Tennessee Quality of Life instrument with minority (Black) and Chronically ill populations.
