Small Business: Vital Links in the Defense Production Chain

摘要

This study examines the role of small businesses in the defense-oriented industrial base and their share of employment and value in the defense sector. The study surveyed firms in five industries in which small businesses provide a large share of total shipments to the Department of Defense to determine the problems experienced by them in producing for the defense market and to recommend policies and programs to alleviate those problems.
