Coast Pilots supplement the navigational information shown on the nautical charts and are based upon field inspections conducted by C&GS, information published in Notices to Mariners, and reports from NOAA survey vessels, other Government agencies, State and local governments, Canadian Department of Transport, maritime and pilotage associations, port authorities, mariners, and others. This volume of Coast Pilot 6, Great Lakes, Lakes Ontario, Erie, Huron, Michigan, and Superior and St. Lawrence River, cancels the 1982 edition.
