State of the Art and Development Possibilities of the Voice Signal Transfer in Packet Switched Networks

摘要

Literature on voice transmission in packet switched networks was reviewed. Coding techniques, like embedded coding, are discussed. The packet structure which carries the voice information is examined. Management procedures for network traffic and routing techniques are reviewed. The algorithms for the operation of the receiver are related to the identification of possible working models and to the definitions of the synchronization strategy.
