The CAI Authoring Support System (CASS) is a database editor used to create courseware to be delivered on an interactive terminal. The basic design of CASS makes it easy for nonprogrammers to learn and use. CASS uses English language commands instead of a programming language and allows you to create, edit or delete courseware using a variety of prompts, menus and text editing formats. CASS also enables you to individualize lesson material with branching logic and evaluate performance by using five types of interactive question frames: constructed response, matching, multiple choice, touch and true/false.
