摘要

The objectives of the study were to determine differences between the effects of soybean and corn plant materials on stability of soil incubated in a laboratory under constant temperature and water contents. Three different laboratory measures of soil stability were used, (1) soil splash detachment from a waterdrop; (2) soil shear strength measured with a fall cone device; and (3) geometric mean diameter of fresh (non-air-dried) wet sieved soil. Soil for the experiment was collected from within the upper 10 cm of continuously fallow Mexico silt loam soil.
