Evaluation and Revision of the NIDR (National Institute of Dental Research) Data Information Vocabularies: Final Report

摘要

The purpose was to review and analyze index languages used to classify, store, and retrieve research and program-related data for the National Institute of Dental Research. Based on the evaluation results, an integrated, improved, and consolidated language, compatible with the National Library of Medicine's Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) Thesaurus was deemed necessary to support the Institute's research planning and reporting requirements. A new prototype thesaurus and classification scheme was then designed and developed for use in a machine sensible environment.
