摘要

The relative performance of three Flood Routing models in natural systems has been investigated. Traditional Muskingum, Non-Linear Muskingum and Linear Least-Square models have been fitted to historic streamflow records on four California rivers. The simple Linear Least - Squares model, which fits the Muskingum model is found to be most accurate in predicting downstream flows for a variety of river and flood types. The rel of this model results from a lack of constraints and subjectivity imposed in the formulation of the Muskingum and Non-Linear models.
