The purpose of the User's Manual is to explain the procedures a user must follow to enter and retrieve information from the D.A.'s Assistant. The manual presents a step-by-step description of each function; for example, logging in to the system, opening, screening and updating cases, and generating reports. The manual explains the function keys (such as ESCAPE, FIND, and F10) that the user can use to move within the screens and the database. An alphabetical listing of D.A.'s Assistant messages, a brief description of each one and a data element dictionary are also included.
