Prediction of fatigue crack growth is studied based on the model of Baudin and Robert (ONERA model) under simple flight-simulation and constant-amplitude loading. The study is related to some difficulties in fatigue crack prediction such as an initially transient crack growth phenomenon and significant interaction effects. Apparently, the load sequence influences the prediction accuracy. The model is examined for various ground stress values and numbers of cycles in flights. The influence of the effective stress range ratio functions is discussed. Non-interaction prediction is used as an indicator for significant interaction effects.
