Nutritional Support for Pediatric Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The principal concern of the report is reversal of growth failure in pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Various measures that evaluate growth failure and nutrition status are discussed. The use of diet therapy to control inflammation is also briefly reviewed. Guidelines are presented by which enteral commercial formulas to be used by these patients should be evaluated.
