Archaeological Survey of a Proposed Boat Launch Site in Arena Township, Iowa County

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources contracted for an archeological survey of a proposed boat landing site in Arena Township, Iowa County, Wisconsin. In the course of the survey, the project area was subjected to pedestrian survey. Two shovel test units, three small trenches, and a river bank profile were excavated, providing information to a depth of 1.8 meters. No evidence for a stable, buried soil horizon was found.
