Nautical Risk Analysis in Port and Fairway Design

摘要

A fully probabilistic approach of port design should take into account normal and exceptional conditions. In considering exceptional events, a distinction is made between the probability of occurrence of initial events, the conditional probability of accidents and the consequences. Several cases are discussed that form part of the complete picture. A general line of integration is indicated.
