Production of Onshore Lower 48 Oil and Gas Supply Model 1991. Installation Manual

The manual provides information pertaining to the installation and subsequent useof the Production of Onshore Lower-48 Oil and Gas Model (PROLOG) on an IBM 3084 QX computing system. PROLOG forecasts oil and natural gas production activities for six onshore regions of the lower 48 States on an annual basis. The primary activities are exploratory and developmental drilling. Forecast values include the reserve additions from exploratory drilling, as well as production from all flowing wells. The PROLOG model employs a linear programming framework to determine the optimal drilling levels that maximize the present value of profits stemming from the drilling projects.
