This document represents the fourth report prepared as part of a three-yearassessment of High occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane projects located either on freeways or in separate rights-of-way in North America. It provides an examination of the historical trends in use and impacts of six HOV project case studies and other HOV facilities in North America.
