摘要

Results of an analysis indicate that for dives where rate of descent is over 5000 fpm, the temperature of inside surfaces of windshield remains approximately constant unless there is an appreciable change of heat input to windshield during dive. Consideration of transient heat flow during diving may be necessary in order to provide fog protection and to conserve heat energy. Consideration is given to use of plane heated-air jets directed tangentially to inside surface of windshield to provide required heat. Electrical heating of the inside surface of windshield is also considered.
