Previous experiments in this series have been concerned with establishing principles for the interpretation of projective behavior. The method has been to note changes in perception (13) and apperception (2) resulting from different intensities of the hunger drive. A number of shifts in perception and in the thematic content of stories have been established which provide important clues for the detec- tion of the strength of the hunger drive from projective records.
