This report covers tests performed on power inverters using Nola-type power factor controllers (PFC) and fractional horsepower single-phase induction motors as loading devices. The inverters were designed for integral operation with fuel cell power plants and represented four differential developmental designs ranging in power ratings from 1.5 kW to 5 kW. In addition, a 1000 VA commercial aircraft-type inverter was also tested. Results are presented and discussed. (ERA citation 08:031928)
