Notes on the Methodology of Calculus of Communication Systems (CCS) and Communicating Sequential Processes (CSP)

The representation of processes, the identification issue, and the treatment of nondeterminism, communication, recursion, abstraction, divergence, and deadlock behavior in the calculus of communicating systems and communicating sequential processes are analyzed. Process algebra turns out to be a useful instrument for comparing the various theories.
